Mexico Song

Below are the lyrics to a song we made following our trip to Mexico over Christmas Break, 2003-2004. Feel free to listen to it as well.

The Mexico Song - "Hey Mexico"

Packed up the vans at 5:30 in the mornin'
13 gringos in a couple old Dodge vans
Hopes are high, the Mexican family's waitin'
Its time to start travelin', across these desert lands

We started in Platte City
And rolled into Topeka
At Mama Rosa's restaurant, we picked up my friend Jo-el
20 minutes later, the water pump was busted
Will we ever see Mexico only time will tell

Hey, Mexico
Just south of San Diego
Hey, Mexico
Our bodies are in Kansas but our hearts are with you Mexico

6 hours spent in the scenic town of Rossville
Got to know the townies at the local convenience store
A couple Bible questions, and several hundred dollars later
Russ fixed us up, so we wont have trouble no more

We drove on through Kansas, and into Colorado
Soon enough the Rockies, they came into our sight
I am Blue Steel, and I am Night Rider
To get to Mexico, we'll drive throughout the night

Hey, Mexico
Just south of San Diego
Hey, Mexico
We're still in Colorado but our hearts are with you Mexico

Snowflakes, on, the window
Wind shearing to the side
Watch out for falling rocks
Be sure to enjoy the ride

Hey, Mexico
Just south of San Diego
Hey, Mexico
Do you, believe, in miracles
